JOHN PAUL BARON.  - Rhythm Guitar

(JP for short, known affectionately as the Dormington Dormouse!). He originally comes from Hampshire but he is not a Hamster, nor is he really a dormouse (however,....it has been noticed that there is an uncanny resemblance at times to Dylan the rabbit from The Magic Roundabout, asleep under the tree draped with his guitar, dreaming of boundless energy levels).

His formative influences began in his highchair (apparently!) and JP  began learning to play guitar at the age of 11, performing at the age of 14 at the FAMOUS Hereford Summer School for the Performing Arts (excellent!).

He played in a Heavy Metal band, aged 15, and his main influences were Wheezer, Radiohead and Nirvana, and he is still well into Indie and Funk (being a quiet sensitive lad!).

He played his first gig for Caramba! at Bristol in a Big Hat (!) and took part in 'Le Tour' of Brittany 2000. He is at present desperately trying to think of an excuse not to repeat the experience due to the unfortunate gastronomic time he was subjected to after 'the night of the lentil soup' (however Caramba! are far too devious to let any of that wash!)

More recently he's been playing guitar and singing as a solo performer at the odd gig (they must have been very odd!!). He's also begun playing with an assortment of wierd tribal instruments in the band, is adding some groovy analogue synth, and has learned to sing on some of our songs. Getting a bit clever, really!

Has got a band together with Pedro and other chaps to do other groovy musik. Brandon Steep. You'll hear about them.
